to Sheriff Eddie Cathey in the Union County Sheriff's Office.

Ralph has served in the department since it began. Ralph has been a local farmer all of his life. This has also afforded him to be present during most of our daytime calls when we need help the most. Ralph and his wife, Nancy, now enjoy their grandchildren the most.

Aside from being on the front lines, Tony has also served on the board for 13 years and as its' secretary 7 years. Tony and his wife Cherrie have 3 grown children. Professionally, Tony operates heavy equipment in the construction industry.

Dennis has 2 children and when he is not with them, or taking care of departmental issues, he enjoys cutting gashes in the grounds of local golf courses with his clubs. (that's what the chief says) To date, any financial stability the department may have is due in majority part to Dennis' steadfast commitment and relentless efforts.

Willie has officially retired from active duty, but has served as a director for 15 years. Professionally, Willie drove an 18 wheeler, delivering petroleum products to local vendors. Willie has been very active in his church, and now, along with wife Martha, enjoy fellowship with their church family and children.

Officer duties. Danny's wife,
Laura is a dental hygienist, and along with their 2 children, they
enjoy high school sports. Danny has served as a coach for
a number of years. Professionally, Danny is employed with
the Charlotte City Fire Department as EMS Coordinator.
TOS - 13 years
Like some others in the department, DC served Hemby Bridge earlier, and after taking a brief absence from duty, recently returned to serve as a director. DC and his wife, Linda, faithfully serve their church family, and have consistently been "pillars" in the community. Professionally, DC worked for the United States Postal Service.
TOS - 14 years Rank - FF3, Paramedic
Serving in multiple leadership roles, Chris' current status is Captain, and shares Training Officer duties. Chris' wife, Jennifer also is involved in the training program for firefighters/first responders, as she works in the community college office. Chris is employed with the Monroe City Fire Department and holds rank of Captain.

Bill and wife Yasuko have 2 children, and 2 grandchildren. Professionally, Bill serves as a quality control supervisor, and has been with Radiator Specialty Company for 23 years.
Windi Henderson
TOS - 6 years
Windi takes care of administrative duties at the station, which alleviates most of the burden of paperwork for everyone else. Windi, and her husband, Mike have 3 children: Wayne, Joseph, and Bailey. Windi enjoys being very active in the community.
